ISLE OF WIGHT TOUR - 15th - 17th SEPTEMBER 2018 (Two nights)
We thought it would be nice to arrange another Isle of Wight tour again for 2018 so here are our initial suggestions. If you would like to come along as a member please contact email@example.com Please note that numbers will be limited.
During each day we will arrange excursions for members at some of the IOW main attractions (such as Osborne House etc) which will be at extra cost.
We will be getting the 10am ferry from Portsmouth to Fishbourne on the Saturday morning and then a return ferry crossing from Fishbourne to Portsmouth at 4pm on the Monday, that way giving us 3 full days to enjoy the island. We have done a couple of tours already to the island and we have always had a great time.
Founded in 1832, The Royal is one of the oldest hotels on the Isle of Wight, and still one of its finest. Originally built as a coaching inn called Fishers Hotel, it became known as The Royal Hotel after enjoying Queen Victoria's patronage. Steeped in history yet offering every modern comfort, The Royal Hotel has been an irresistible destination for the discerning traveller for the last 180 years.
Cost for the tour will be £310.00 per person (excluding excursions). This will include 2 Nights en-suite accommodation in a classic room, full English breakfast on both mornings, table d’hôte dinner for both nights and car ferry to and from the Island which they will arrange on members behalf. Should members wish to upgrade their rooms the following supplements will apply:
Garden View Double/Twin/Single - £20.00 per person per night supplement
Deluxe Double/Twin - £30.00 per person per night supplement
Premier Double/Twin - £40.00 per person per night supplement
All bedrooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, direct dial telephone, flat screen television with Freeview channels, complimentary Wi-Fi and hairdryer.
The Royal has been awarded 2 AA Rosettes for culinary excellence every year since 1998 and they will serve dinner to our party each night in their elegant restaurant at 8.30pm. They offer a table d’hôte menu which consists of a choice of 3 starters, 3 main courses and 3 desserts. Dinner pre-orders will be taken from the group at breakfast each morning at 08:30 allowing us the rest of the day to tour the island.
The hotel facilities include:
• On-site parking (I am have asked for reserved parking just for our members).
• Outdoor heated swimming pool (open May to September, weather permitting)
• Treatment room (in partnership with local company The Cabin)
• Award winning restaurant
• 24-hour bar service for hotel residents
• Resident pianist (Friday and Saturday nights only in High Season)
So there we have it, who would like to join us (members only) for a great weekend? To book please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
