LUNCH AND TRIP ABOARD BLUEBELL RAILWAY - 9th June 2019

On Sunday 9th June 2019 a group of our members were taken on a visit to the Bluebell Railway based in Sussex. The day began at Sheffield Park station before heading off for a special silver service lunch and a 3 hour journey (22 mile round trip) through the beautiful Sussex Weald countryside.
With members all dressed up in their 1920s attire it made the perfect setting. Members boarded the 1920s Golden Arrow Pullman Car which once linked London and Paris and was one of the most glamorous and famous trains in the world with its unique wall panel marquetry and plush seating. Once on board members enjoyed fine food and wine served to the standards of yesteryear. Here are just a few of the images taken on the day.
