Hi All,
Let me introduce myself, My name‘s Doug Warren and I’m married to Jackie and we live
in Galleywood, Chelmsford. Now retired, having worked in the Police and Security Industry for many years, I now have time to relax and enjoy the things I love, which include Jaguar Cars!
Having owned my first Jaguar, an X-Type 2.5 AWD back in 2005, I then sold it in 2012/3 to purchase my next Jaguar, a Seafrost XK8 convertible on my birthday in January 2013. A couple of years ago, I also acquired a XJ8 in the same colour as my XK8 – my winter car!
I have recently taken on the responsibility of Regional Officer for the Essex region of the XKEC. For my sins, I have in the past been the Chairman and Editor of the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club Essex Thameside Region (ETR) for 9 years until 2019. I needed to hand the reigns over to others in that club to progress it. I now feel privileged to use my experience to progress the XKEC Essex Region further. While Chairman of the ETR I organised meetings, club shows, meals out, visits to places of interest, as well as organising three European Tours for the club. I am hoping I can do something similar with members from the XKEC Essex Region.
Further breakfast meets will be arranged and advised in advance, along with other events.

20 cars arrived for the Essex 'Breakfast Meet' at The Hare. A really excellent mix of XK8/R' XK's and F-Types, as well as the odd Aston Martin. It was a great turn out, with the hope that a couple of visitors will become new members joining.
Our first Essex regional breakfast gathering of 2022 at The Hare, Bishops Stortford Rd, Roxwell in Chelmsford. Thanks to everyone who attended.
On Saturday 26th October we held our latest Essex ‘Breakfast Meet’. A good turn out was had at "The Hare" including some first time attendees. Nine cars were on display which again attracted some attention from members of the public. The breakfast was excellent and everyone enjoyed the morning.
On Saturday 25th September we held our second Essex ‘Breakfast Meet’ at "The Castle" in Great Leighs, Chelmsford.
17 cars did turn up but some were put off by the current fuel issue.
I wish to thank all members that attended our first “Breakfast Meet” at The Hare Public House, at Roxwell, Chelmsford on Saturday 28th August 2021. It was a great turnout and a chance for everyone to meet fellow members from the Essex area. In total 17 cars arrived and parked in the overfill car park and lined up against the barrier sleepers surrounding the car park. It was a great sight and attracted a lot of attention from other customers so much so, the pub’s Facebook page on the day included pictures of our cars in their car park.
